Uhm Jung-hwa (born August 17, 1969)[1] is a South Korean singer and actress best known for her roles in the films Marriage is a Crazy Thing (which earned her a Best Actress Award at the Baeksang Arts Awards), My Lovely Week and Princess Aurora. Singer and actor Uhm Tae-woong is her younger brother. As a singer she recognized as an icon in 90's Korean Pop culture, Korean Gay Icon, known as the "sexy queen", and is currently with Trifecta Entertainment. She is One of Most Successful Female Artist in Korean Pop History.

Scarlett Johansson dating British rocker Dan White

Scarlett Johansson is reportedly dating a British musician.

The actress met Tribes guitarist Dan 'Skywizard' White while filming in London and has been seeing him for the past few weeks.

"They met in London recently. Scarlett was shooting the filmUnder The Skin in the UK and they were introduced at a club night in town," a source told theSunday Mirror.

"They got on like a house on fire and Scarlett was into his band's music. There was an instant ­connection. They've been seeing each other for a good few weeks.

"Dan's proper happy about it - and what guy wouldn't be? He already thinks the world of Scarlett.

"He thinks she's an amazing girl. They both have ­incredibly busy lives but are going to see where things go.

"Dan's band Tribes is only just taking off and Scarlett has a lot of work on. So who knows?"

Court orders runaway bride to return dowry

A Beijing court has sentenced runaway bride Sun Yali to return the BMW car to her ex-fiancé.

The car, worth 296,900 yuan (RM148,600) was given to Sun in the form of bride price gift, by E Jiehao.

As the vehicle was registered under Sun's name and had been used, the court then ordered the part-time actress to pay 280,000 yuan (RM140,143) to E on Friday.

E, a 24-year-old image consultant, met Sun, 22, through a popular match-making TV programme If You Are The One in China around September last year.

Although the pair did not work out in the show, they kept in touch and dated the following month.

After going out for two months, the couple engaged and planned to tie the knot.

Then, E gave Sun the car and an LCD TV as wedding gifts, upon her request.

But later, Sun broke the engagement promise after finding out that the fiancé was not as rich as she thought he was.

E demanded Sun to return the car but she refused. He then filed a lawsuit against Sun at Chaoyang District People' Court in Beijing in May.

Sun has yet to decide if she wanted to appeal.

Russian MP is former Playboy playmate

A Playboy playmate has been elected to the Russian parliament by the country's gaffe-prone PM Vladimir Putin.

The Russian leader has hired former naked model Maria Kozhevnikova, 27, as an MP.

It is hoped that Putin's new acquisition will bring him some cheer after recent accusations of election fraud.

Maria — now an actress — posed nude for the Russian edition of the magazine two years ago after breaking up with her boyfriend.

She featured on the cover and seven revealing pages were devoted to her inside the magazine.

Like ex-spy and glamour icon Anna Chapman, Maria was a member of the Young Guard of Putin's political party United Russia, which is currently facing allegations of vote-rigging after this month winning a narrow overall majority in parliament.

After being confirmed as the new MP for ice-clad Tomsk in Siberia, Maria said: "For me this is an absolutely big event in my life.

"I'm just an ordinary citizen of the Russian Federation. With the problems I face every day, now I'll be provided a platform where I can speak up the difficulties and offer solutions."

She insisted: "I think now the time has come when the young people's voice is listened to. The future of our country belongs to young people, and we must also be involved.

Suki vs management: It's (legal) war!

No one could see it coming. Malaysian pop star Suki Low has filed a lawsuit against her management and record label, Galaxy Music.

In her (shocking) official statement to The Daily Chilli on Thursday, the One In A Million reality show winner says she is suing Galaxy Music for misrepresentation and breach of contract.

No further explanation has been given to the press.



Apparently, trouble started brewing between the beautiful singer and her management during her promo stint in Taiwan late last year.

Insiders have told The Daily Chilli that Suki wasn't happy about her work arrangement in Taiwan, which included a hectic work schedule.

She was also upset by her management's accusations that she lacked discipline and commitment towards her career.

The 21-year-old has already found her footing in Taiwan by starring in a teen idol series, Four Gifts (Nu Wang Bu Xia Pan).

The romantic comedy starred one of Malaysia's biggest exports to Taiwan, pop star actor Nicholas Teo.

Meanwhile, Chris Wang, the general manager of Galaxy Music has denied the allegations, saying, "Galaxy Music, which is part of the Galaxy Group, is a reputable company. We do not force our artistes into doing things that are not in their contract. I personally spotted the talent in Suki, and I tried to groom her the way I groomed Nicholas Teo, who is a big star in Taiwan now.

"Any Malaysian acts who have made it in Taiwan will tell you that it takes a lot of hard work there. Competition is really stiff. You've got to be among the best."

On Suki's lawsuit, Chris says he received the legal papers on Dec 9. "I've handed the matter to the company's lawyers."
